Texas GLO Posts Amendment 1 to the State of Texas 2021 Winter Storms Action Plan for Public Comment
Today, the Texas General Land Office (GLO) posted Amendment 1 to the State of Texas 2021 Winter Storms Action Plan for a federally required 30-day public comment period.
The amendment includes the following changes:
- Fire Facilities and Protective Measures (FFPM) program updated to a two-phased approach, including a call for projects phase followed by an application phase and stratification of selection criteria.
- Grammatical, phrasing and formatting changes throughout the document.
The amendment is available for public review at: https://www.glo.texas.gov/disaster-recovery/public-notices.
All comments should be submitted to cdr@recovery.texas.gov by 5 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2026, to be considered. Per federal requirements, the GLO must respond to public comments before the amendment can be sent to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for final approval.
